Resolving employment disputes - for employees

If you are in the middle of a difficult situation or a dispute with your employer, chances are you're feeling stressed about it. As highly experienced employment advocates we don't focus solely on employment law when dealing with employment disputes. In our experience, effective communication and a bit of "win-win" go a very long way towards both preventing and resolving most workplace issues. We advise, represent and advocate for employees who are experiencing issues in the workplace – usually with either their manager or employer. These issues may include:

  • support in disciplinary matters including warnings and dismissals
  • assisting with personal grievances
  • negotiating settlements and exit packages
  • assistance in mediation, and in the Employment Relations Authority
  • employment agreement disputes

Our initial consultation is free. This is usually a phone discussion. We will give you an honest assessment of your employment problem – all we ask is you are completely open and honest with us. We will then recommend next steps, if any. If we feel we can help we will discuss the likely costs with you. Depending on the outcome, our fees are usually recovered from the employer.
